I, Father Doug Krebs am very excited to be at St. Leo's as the parochial vicar and at Bishop Ryan as the chaplain and an instructor. I have heard so many good things about the parish and the school, and I look forward to being a part of the community.
Fr. Krebs grew up in Bismarck and attended the Cathedral School and St. Mary's Central High school. In high school he played football, basketball, and ran in track. After he graduated from high school, he went on the Rome pilgrimage with Fr. Justin Waltz and Fr. Josh Waltz. In Rome was the first time he ever thought about the priesthood. He then attended the University of North Dakota and studied civil engineering.
During that year of college, he thought more about the priesthood and decided to enter the seminary. Bishop Zipfel sent him to St. Paul for three years for college seminary, and then Bishop Kagan sent him to Rome for the last four years.
